Irma! Irma! Irma!
Oh Irma! This week’s style of the week! Did you know that the Irma almost didn’t get made?!
Its by far the favorite of the LuLaRoe tops! The Irma is a tunic that is designed to be oversized, and worn loose and long. Many people can wear multiple sizes because of this! LuLaRoe rocks in versatility of their garments! Below here in Style of The Week fashion you will find photos of my friend Emily and I modeling EVERY size of this top! Plus some fun styling ideas at the bottom!
Here Emily is wearing an XXS and an XS. The Irma is made from multiple fabrics and I think that is represented here in this side by side comparison. the XS looks significantly larger than the XXS! I think it might be due to the fabric blends of these specific tops–I should have made Em try on a different XS too!
Here Emily is in a small. This one is a soft cottony t-shirt feel long and cozy–perfect to wear with leggings! I’m wearing a medium here. It’s snug over my tush, and loose everywhere else. I don’t mind the fit of the medium but I prefer the large! I kind of match the backdrop huh!?
The large is my favorite size, I feel like its loose, but not too oversized, and I like the extra length that it provides over the medium! The XL on me is where it starts to get looser at the bottom of the shirt too.. As you can see in all these that I haven’t pointed out is the amazing high-low hem! Long enough to cover your front parts while covering your butt! Perfect to wear with leggings! XL would be my “true to size” size.
I feel like the 2XL and the 3XL fit very similarly on me, and I know many of my customers can wear both sizes–I did feel the arms were a little looser on the 3XL. Even though these aren’t sizes I would normally grab for myself, I wanted to show the versatility that you can make any size work!
I LOVE the Cassie skirt! It looks amazing with so many tops! Here Emily is wearing an XXS Irma with a XS Cassie. She tucked in the front just a little so its still long in the back, and ruched the skirt up to add some texture and take away some length. Leggings + Irma + Cozy sweater vest makes for a super cute Bohemian look!
MEEEEE Here I wanted to show the awesomeness of wearing an oversized Irma! I paired a 3XL Irma with a size medium Cassie! I cuffed the sleeves on the Irma and tied the Irma in a knot to add some shape and cinch it up a little over my hips while still leaving the low part of the hem to cover my tush! The right side picture just so happens to be what I had been wearing all day. My idea of pattern sizing is flannel with any print on my legs! I think its great! But the REASON I love this look, specifically with the Irma is I really like having two different lengths for my tops, so the Irma is longer than my flannel, I felt really comfortable all day!
First off, I love this look I captured on the beautiful Emily’s face! So what we did here was take a HAIR TIE and gathered some fabric from INSIDE the Irma right on the small of her back, then I wrapped the hair tie around the part we had gathered and it makes this cute ruching look in the back! This is a really great tip for an oversized Irma too! Or just to change the shape off the shirt by making it look more fitted while creating a focus on anywhere the hair tie is! I’ve also seen people do this off to one side on your natural waist.
Thanks for reading folks! <3
